Plenty of ice out from the willow point access. It's early pike time!

what do you call 'plenty of ice' we went strait out from the willow point access and the ice was about 3 inches of busted refroze ice, looked solid after 150 yards still about 3 inches.

I was out on the SW corner of lake 2 yesterday. I was about a 100 yards out from the ice access and just to the south of the channel to lake 1. Didn't see any open areas. Ice thickness varied from 4 inches where we were fishing to 2 inches in the channel and further into lake 2.
Fishing was pretty slow for us. One flag with one nice pike that my buddy caught.

Be very careful if you go out on 3. There are features out in the middle that cause it to freeze slower. Some years the middle stays open on 3 while 1 and 2 are locked up.

if you go of the willow pt. access stay away from in front of the lakehouse restaurant. not for sure how the ice froze because somebody busted thru the ice with a johnboat to hunt on the pt. last wed. the day before thanksgiving. heard them blasting away.

The south side of 1st froze over before the rest, so that's probably got about an inch more than the rest. Measured 4" 50yds out from shore today on the west side.
