I have always wanted to do this. Anyone ever try it? I will probably hit one of the bays on the SE side, Cove, Wahkon or Isle. What are some tricks to try? I will probably just put 2 tip ups out with one shiner and one sucker next to the weeds. How deep do you guys fish it? 10ft maybe? What do you guys do.

Really? Nobody at all. Fine with me. I will have all the toothy critters to myself.

I would say you are on the right track, shallow water along the weed lines with a big sucker or shiner. Pretty easy, just have to wait for the ole flag to pop! Have fun, you might even hook a big ole muskie!

I do, I like targeting them at first ice, when you are just wanting some action. I like to get out to the deeper weeds and like you said, put out a shiner or sucker on a tip up. Get a few friends so you can set out a few more. Makes for a fun day doesn't it.
