Click on the "water proof strips".

Most are getting the BMS 48W or BMS 96W.

I would be careful as the return policy with this company is weak to say the least.

That is very good advice and should be considered anytime something is ordered from over seas.

are the "Gander" ones just as good? I saw on an earlier thread that people were "disagreeing" on that.

Thanks

IMO the rope LED's are not anywhere near as bright. I've ordered lots of king kong products for personal use and we also use them were I work for educational labs. Never had a problem with them. We have over 100 12cm strips for labs, they are handled by students with very few issues (they have pulled a few of the very thin leads off, but they are destructive with all the equipment.) I've got 6 48cm strips for personal use, the second order took quite a bit of time due to the item being on backorder.

I could imagine that with any manufactured thin film electrical product, you will get bad batches. I haven't dealt with customer service ever, but imagine it would be terrible too.

What are your experiences Harvey? Have you had problems in the past?

I've only ordered once through them when I got my 2 48cm strips, but I didn't have any issues with them. When I did contact them before I received the product, they were prompt to respond.

If you read back in this forum last year and the year before, these lights for some people would show up cracked or cracked upon install, also some had a couple or many LED’s not working on a strip right when the lights where fired up. The company would not replace them!

There are better options out their for LED’s. I am looking into some enclosed long/hard tube style ones, which you can zip-tie to the bars. This way, when you fold your shack up, the lights do not get crunched and are protected.

I would have to guess it was the negative feed back in years past is the reason why wink!

IMHO, they are not worth the money!

I have a few sets and the ones that work are fantastic. I did have one 48cc strip and I could not get them to replace them as they told me I was careless with them. They came cracked in the middle and only one half worked. they are in the garbage can now.

I now use what is called under car lights. They come in tubes in different lenghts. They work great and maybe better than the Honky Kong lights. if you search the net, you will find some that are less than others. I have purchased from two companies and both had nice tube lights,. Some also come in a 3 or 4 bar set with a switch that one can tuurn on 1 or two or all of them.

Very nice lights but they do run a little more that the Honk Kong ones for sure but they are nice quality and I have to believe they will last alot longer.
