WOW. I think I can Still make it. I guess one might have to try it tomarrow. Or maybe that other spot  If by that other spot, you mean further downstream a couple of launches....that's impassable too

I still think we should have just gone for it...
I think the catcraft is worthy. Although I have seen boats get pretty tore up from breaking ice.
Maybe another outing with the electric chainsaw is in order.

Just got back from the river. Travel and fishing was a major pain in the rear with all the ice floating. Tried some spots I haven't fished walleyes at before and ended up with a few pig saugers. Most of the deep bends are impassable right now. If we get a few warm days to get rid of some ice I might try it again.

Might be breaking back up with a couple days of warmer weather. I am out for this weekend. Hopefully there's still some fishing to do when I get back.

The ice rods, flasher, portable, and perm are ready. I still think I will fish the river with the boat a few times yet. If anyone wants to tag along over the long weekend you die hards have my number. Give me a shout if interested.

You reminded me how bad the fishing is in the Minnesota River. Lost jigs, drowned minnows, and time away from the bar. Time to go catch fish in a lake!! Let it freeze.

Just got a report that parts of the river not only have large chunks, but is actually iced up with a solid 1-2”  Must rethink weekend plans  should have broke never know, coulda caught a biggun. but it sounds like u got stuck up river of there last year so a past incounter is as good a future mistake!
