Did your dad say how far the ice was out from the Miltona landing and how thick it appeared to be? I appreciate the info.

My dad put his fish house out this morning on a small lake in Douglas County.

Got his first fish ice fishing already....

3 inches of ice.

Any more updates on the bigger lakes in the area? I've been trying to keep track of ice-on and ice-off dates for fishing patterns on Miltona.

Looks like someone dragged a portable out onto the north end of Reno. And I could see a small portable or spear house in the shallows on the s/e side of Mary from Hyw. 4

Yes, he is. 1/2 inch a few feet from the house. But now, it is much thicker (so he says).

He used to have a hardfast rule...don't go on the ice unless it has at LEAST 4 inches. I asked him what happened to that rule...and he said he is careful....
