I drove by on tues and it was wide open, usually a week or two after people are fishing on baxter.

I drove by on tues and it was wide open, usually a week or two after people are fishing on baxter.
Mark I was just wondering if it was locked up with last nights cold. Dont plan on going out for a while but a lock up is good news/

Baxter had a portable out in the center of it today at 3pm - I don't think I will be out there till next friday if the weather holds. Griz29

as of Saturday it looked like by the flat access it was about to lock up.....just a little bit of open water....there was a little action at Baxter on Saturday...I was not prepared to join the fun

Locked up last night/today. Several spots out in the middle took longer to seal up due to the wind/swans.

Thanks for the welcome Ozzie.
Update on the ice. Went out today and drilled about 20 holes. Very consistent 7 inchs. Wheelers started going out Saturday night.

There are a few (6-8) permanents out. They started coming out last weekend when the wheelers started coming out.
