St. Olaf had about 1/2" of ice on it this morning according to the guy who took out the Sportsman's Club dock. With temps reaching the mid to upper 30's and low 40's forecast for next week, toss in a little wind, wouldn't expect it to stay just yet.

There is a guy in the narrows fishing on Cody Lake as of 1:30

But ICE. The one photo shows a hole of open water over a deep part of the lake.
The south shoreline has about 2" of ice, and extends about 20 yards out.

Someone was out fishing on fish lake by ormsby with 2 to close to 3 inchs of ice.

Drove by wita at sunset tonight there was a half dozen guys out there

This thread is dedicated to area ice conditions so talk of a boat is unlikely.

Went out tonight to get a 2nd, 3rd, & 4th opinion. The diagnosis was not good. I found nothing over 2" at 4 spots in the past 2 nights. I would strongly recommend holding out or most definately using extreme caution. I hit spots guarded by wind, with & without current underneath, as well as bigger & smaller bodies of water. If anyone's finding any more ice than that shoot me an E-mail & I'll be there in morn!!!
