Fired the auger up its running real sweet, hard chiseling through 5 inches of ice if you want more than one hole. I hope green freezes soon, I expect to find them walleyes shallow like 12-18 feet crusing any green weeds that are still down there. Theres always walleyes deep on green, but there is always walleyes shallow on green and they seem to be the bigger ones in my experience. 18-23 feet has been the ticket for me all summer and up to about a week ago they were still some at that depth, and after dark I manged to get some trolling original raps in 7-9 feet. Earlier that same evening I pulled one out of 45 feet of water jigging with a lack of thermocline and so much structure it can be tough to come up with a solid pattern I suspect Ice fishing will be more productive soon.
