My Father and I are going out on the Winnie on thursday. Would like to here what condition the roads are in since the snow. What the bite has been and what depth. Would you recommend going out from elswhere. We will be coming from the Grand Rapids area. Replies are greatly appreciated.

The resorts have been working hard and if the wind isn't blowing to hard the roads will be in good condition after you get out a mile or so you can still get around good. All the differnt fronts pushing through last week made the Perch fishing challenging but they were still being caught in the deep water with the mud bottom the Walleyes and Northern are still cooperating well on the shore line breaks and edges of the bars. ------------------ Fred's Bait FredsBait.com - Click Here. Spent the weekend fishing out of Highbanks. John does a good job of keeping the road open to his shacks about 2 miles out. They picked up about 6-8" between Sun and Monday so travel will be a little more difficult. I was running a Aerostar Van with no problems but avoid the drifts!!
