My father and I are going to be trying Little Winnie on friday. Can anyone give any tips as to what the eye's might bite on? My guess is crawlers or leaches? And what tackle. Depth...We have never fish the lake so any tips would be greatly appreciated.

boater unless you have alittle boat you might have a tough time getting to little winnie. If you do I would have a jig and minnow on the edge of the weeds by the river channel

Boater,
Go to Little Winnie Resort on Hwy 9 between the Gosh Dam Place and the Dam itself. It's a stones throw from 46 and 9.
You can launch there. There are some nice eaters in there and some big muskie.
You can also access the river from this lake.

Thanks for the advise. I wish I would have posted it earlier. The water was extremely low. So low the river was inpassible. We started by the river inlets and outlets. Mostly 5-8 pound dog-fish. Never caught them before and couldn't figure out what they were. We also caught plenty of northerns that appeared to me to absolutely starving. We ended up on the humps on the east side and caught one eye (14") and one northern. If I would have known the water was so low I would have tried elswhere. Again thanks for the replies though. Next time I'll post earlier.
