I am not sure how well they work, but they do sell "Blueing" pens at most outdoors stores. Look in the gun cleaning supplies area.

Duck hunting can be brutal on guns, so scratches are common.

Bluing is tricky, but you can give it a whirl. Is it a black gun? If so, I've used a Sharpie with surprising results.
Seriously.

Could it be that its not a scratch and its just aluminum that got rubbed on from the boat. If so it'll wear off eventually.

Gun socks help a lot to prevent the scratches, just make sure you take them off after the hunt and oil the gun down.

I used a blueing pen last year on my benelli. I had a pretty good sratch from rubbing on a canoe. It worked surprisingly well. I would recommend giving it a shot.

Blueing pens work pretty good. It's not a permanent fix, but you can keep touching it up until the gun isn't new enough for a scratch to bother you anymore.

Thanks guys, I will have to try that. I know having scratches on the gun just gives it character, but like I said before I just got it and was trying to keep it looking nice for the first season.
