I kept my first few fish of the year. Saturday morning brought me a couple of delectable walleyes. Just wondering how others did?

Well, out last week & it was slow on a small N Metro lake. Two fish in 3+ hours, one a 5 lb. pike & the other a 20" bass, my first! Both in ultra-shallow weedy bay, 4' of water or less.
Out on the river by Red Wing early Sat morning & nothing doing. A striped bass, a catfish, & a 9" eye. Pretty slow. Right now we're caught between the warm water & the cool down.
Small lake temp 58, river at 62.

Was up in Alexandria this weekend and we boated about 120 walleyes in about 5 hours of fishing. Kept a few for the frying pan! What a weekend!

Fished in Waconia saturday morning.....Ski bite was slow. Went to head back to the launch, motor wouldn't start. So I picked up the flippin' stick and landed 6 bass in a few hours between 16"-19" while trolling the shoreline on the way back. The vegetation sure is dying off quickly. Sunday, did some bassin' for a few hours and got into 3-4 biggest at a healthy 18". It was nice getting out to the smaller lakes where docks were already pulled for the season....it's like fishing a new lake! How about those fall colors too?! Great weekend to be out there.

Hit the Center Lakes near Lindstrom on Sunday. It was interesting. A bunch of small bass and mid sized crappies. Both lakes were turning over so the bit was light and tough. Only 3 quality bass between 3 guys for 8-9 hours on the water.

on lake down by prior lake, ended up with some nice crappies, much deeper than I would have ever guessed, 24 feet or water, marked some fish so gave it a shot and they were some nice slabs. Had fatheads and the bigger the minnow the better

Yeah most of the crappies we found were suspended over 20' or more of water.
