Tim Anderson is great, check out www.bigfishhunt.com there are other guys in the area too that will specialize in other things, but he has a pretty wide base of knowledge on all of the area species and even he could point you in a better direction if he didn't think he could give you the trip you wanted.

Uffda, There are many GREAT guides in the area. What is your goal? Do you have a specific species in mind? Walleye, Musky, ect...? Big fish? Numbers? Fun day on the water with many stories told? Fish fry? This is a great time of year to fish the lakes area. With a little more detail to your request, I can recommend a good one.

uffda look up Jesse Williams, he works at Oars 'N Mine in Crosby, really knows the area lakes and can put you on almost any species you are looking to get after.

Tim Anderson is a great guy, Walleye Dan is also very good and friendly, knowledgable. Any of those mentioned are good. This time of the year you have a great chance at gettin a hawg wally, pike or musky.

I would agree with all of the above mentioned guides. Walleye Dan would definately be my recommendation. He is on the water every day now, and WILL put you on the fish. You will be satisfied. Contact # 218-839-5598

I would suggest Marv Koep, or any of the guides from The Nisswa Guides League that book out of S&W Bait & Tackle. All of the guys are long time area residents that know the lakes quite well.

Hi Uffda, there are quite a few good guides in the area and there are a few that are just OK. There are a few that I would recommend, they are personable, knowledgeable and willing share plenty of their knowledge. As far as catching fish, some are just more consistent than others. A few who I would recommend are:
Walleye Dan Eigen Richie Boggs Todd Andrist Tim Hanske Marv Koep
These are the guys that I see out there on a regular basis. That is one of the most important factors when considering a guide. They will all do a great job for you. We have discontinued our booking service but if you send me an email I can give you their contact info.

I would recommend Jesse Williams from oars and mine as well. very knowledgeable about the area and knows his fishing. also a great guy to fish with, unlike most guides it's not like talking to a 2x4

$240 to $270 for 4 hrs.
Another guide that can put you on fish is Royal Karles.
