Any help on where I can pick up some quality bait on the East end? I am looking for Rainbow chubs and Walleye size suckers. Stopped at my favorite bait store in Tower last Thursday and they only had chubs. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Tominator, check with Vermilion Fuel and Food in Tower before you come up. If they don't have any, grab them at a Duluth bait store on the way out of town. Fisherman's Corner has to have small suckers, one would assume.

I'd definitely call in advance to get it figured out. If neither Fuel and Food nor FC has small suckers, call Lucky Seven in Virginia to see what they've got. They are right off Hwy. 53 just north of Virginia.

I am supprised that Vermilion Fuel and Food did not have anything but chubs! Must have sold out of the other baits .
They usually have a very good selection of bait! I bought a killer rainbow/creekchub mix there that week! Very nice sized minnows.

My customers are catching really nice limits on the plain old chub minnow. I know everyone likes the little larger minnow this time of year but the 2" chubs are working for our people.
