Slow around the Albert Lea area. Hunted this morning in a picked bean field, one flock of geese came through and that was it. We didn't even see any woodies which is very strange, we usually get some every year early in the fields.

Dan z I have seen pics of your boat and I must say it's really nice. Say what kind of motor do you have on that and how much would something like that one run a guy? I need one of those for the lakes we hunt around here.

thanks for the compliment, the motor is made in marble rock iowa by steve wells his company name is scavenger backwater motors as you prolly know mine is an 18hp and it cost us $2300 he makes thre or for different motor kinds from 5hp-31hp, from honda briggs, tecumseh, and kohler If I member right. mine wieghs 142 pounds so you need a pretty healthy transom and I have also helped mine out with brackets from the transom to the back seat tons of torque but not much top end speed but I can pretty much go ne were I can see water on the other side.

Hunted on Freeborn on Sunday. It was all woody action. We did see some geese land in the middle of the lake when we were leaving. But the only thing in range to shoot were the wood ducks.

Hunted around the Waseca area this past weekend. Saturday was a nice morning but we got stuck by sky busters. Sunday was quite only a few singles flying around and one nice flock that didn't want anything to do with the call. My dad and I only managed 7 ducks all weekend.

Hunted Friday/Saturday, pretty slow, but we did find a few woodies and teal down on the river.

Hunted Saturday a.m seen lots and lots of Ringnecks and Redheads @ many Bufflehead .. but none would commit... after making a quick adjustment to the deeks and laying off the call
we salvaged the morning with three buffies, two bluewing teal and a spooner on accident blush
"wiffed" big time on a beautiful flock of redheads
and let a big green head escape from the deeks still not sure how that happened?

had a few cans in the deeks (go figure!)
but they where fun to watch had one spend the better part of his morning I the deeks

today was a diffrent story 1 flock of ringnecks ande a flock of buffies and a spoonie that landed at 6:55 am and finallly left at 9:30 only to come back and stay there till we left at 10:15
