Buddies and i are planning on coming up to Rainy this next weekend, the 17th,18th, and 19th of october. according to the internet, the weather looks to be in the 40's and somewhat decent. Any of you guys heard the local forecast for that weekend, as it is kind of a long way to drive only to get rained on for a day or two of fishing.

Any forecast reports would be greatly appreciated, as well as fishing reports, grinas we will probably be heading to our usuall area, dryweed island, as well as the neighboring bays and islands. but, we are willing to travel, preferably us side though.

as long as the lake name isn't in the forecast, count us in!

HI VISTER,
THIS COULD CHANGE 6 TIMES BY FRIDAY, THIS TIME OF THE YEAR, OUR WEATHER IS EXTREMELY UNSTABLE!!! SO WE CAN TELL YOU ITS GOING TO BE ALL ROSES, I GUESS I WOULD COME UP & IF THE WEATHER ISN'T GREAT, THE FISH WILL STILL BE BITING SOMEPLACE!!! FISHING IS EXCELLENT, SOMEDAYS WE'VE HAD BEEN POOR WEATHER, BUT THE FISHING WAS AWESOME., THAT IS WHY I LOVE LIVING HERE, IF I CHOOSE NOT TO GO, I CAN GO TOMMOROW., BUT WHEN YOUR ON VACATION UP HERE, YOU JUST HOPE FOR THE BEST, BECAUSE OF THE LIMITED # OF DAYS.
SINCERELY,
FISHMEISTER

Mid 50's on Rainy yesterday afternoon. I'd predict low 50's by the end of the week if the forecast is accurate.

thanks for the heads-up fishmeister on the weather. It doesn't matter now i guess, as we are convinced we're coming anyways. just will be packing the ice armor xtreme suit instead of a tent. A buddy lined up a hotel, so camping wouldn't be a hassle. Hoping for a great time! the time had with the guys in such a great setting will be great alone, but finding eyes even better.

Bill,

I am heading up tomorrow. My buddy Randy has been hammering the big pike and found lost crappies in Sand Bay around three sisters! I will keep you posted. By the way, send me an e-mail. I have an idea i would like to run past you.

Todd,

Heading up this weekend. Any tips how is catching those big pike? After we fill up on walleyes - hoping to grab a few pike. Where are they concentrated (FOW), etc.?

Any help is appreciated.
