There are a lot more news sources out there than TV. They don't call it the b00b tube for nothing, because almost nothing of real value is televised through it when it comes to news. TV was brought into American culture in the 50s with high-blown aspirations and the goal of delivering strong and meaningful cultural elevation to the public.

Oops, how soon they found that most of the public just wanted entertainment. The potential of television, particularly for news and substantive commentary (leaving out public television stations) has never been realized.

There is great journalism being perpetrated on the American public right now. Most of it is posted online. Bias is a very, very difficult thing to eliminate, because all human beings have some level of personal bias, but forget about those shallow TV news scurs and dig in a little, man.

As Fox Mulder always said: "The truth is out there."

Stf...I listen to talk radio. Not much time for TV. Then I try to do a little digging on the internet. I do not care for the Hannity and Colms show. When I do watch anything political on tv other than the debates, I like the sunday morning fox show with chris wallace.

ABC, NBC, CBS, MSNBC, CNN are all left leaning. Fox leans right. Still lopsided amount of info being pumped to the average american. NBC has nearly become the Obama press secretary.

That's even worse than TV. Talk radio isn't even close to news. It's the all-star wrestling smackdown of news. All testosterone, no substance.

Talk radio is all about extremism. As far to the left as left can get, as far to the right as right can get. While that might seem like balance when you play one off against the other, it's like sitting next to a rush-hour freeway and trying to clear your head so you can think. Can't be done.

This is out there for anyone to see and the agreement that was signed will shock you.

Please take the time to do a little research before you blindly make such base comments.

You have to be joking. You listen to talk radio? Rush? Hannity? I would have never guessed.

I used to listen to them also-until I understood what they are trying to get across to their listeners-without saying it directly. How? well,for one they use their call screeners to craft which callers go on the air to say what they can't say.

Lately,Hannity's game plan is that they put all the African Americans on the air that don't like Obama-he has always said "we put liberals to the front of the line" wrong-he hasn't had 3 liberal callers on in 3 months. And don't tell me none are calling!
I still listen to Hannity everyday to some extent-just to listen to how vile and devisive he is in his rantings. He,like limbaugh [another corporate gasbag] get their talking points from the RNC,and most all their fans and loyal listeners post what they say on forums like this the following evening.
Today for instance,I can tell that the McCain campaign has told Hannity to tone down the Ayers rhetoric. How do I know? He has been going off on Ayers on continuous loop for 6 months-and today? barely a sound about it. The mcCain camp has toned down the attacks after seeing that it was hurting them.
These two are the exception of course. The real lunatic fringe. We have local Republican talk show hosts that sound like Liberal progressive,weed smokin hippies when compared to Hannity.
It's too bad these extremists have listeners who take their words as true gospel-alot of it ain't!
The way limbaugh spoke today makes me think he knows the inevitable,and he is trying to find the fire escape so if the pubs lose,he can say "see, i told you so,this is what they should have done"
