I have MEA this week and was planning on fishing in the Alexandria area. I was up on Miltona on Saturday and it seemed like there was a lot of traffic out there. Many walleye and musky fisherman. For me it was very slow; I put one 40 inch fish in the boat and that was it. Does anyone have any advice or input. I would be willing to head to West Battle or even Detroit Lake.

Maybe you have different expectations when you go out, but putting one 40 inch fish in the boat is a good day to me. I guess if you didn't see any fish other than that one you can consider it a slow day. I would probably blame location on that though, if one of them was biting there's a chance a lot of them were biting in different areas. I've heard West Battle has been decent but that was a few weeks ago so who knows. Personally I'd stick to a body of water that I was fairly familiar with and you can key in on some structures that you already know are there, instead of having to go out looking for them.
