I have two Samsungs (LCD HD, etc). One is a 26" and the other is a 48" (I believe). I have been really happy with those. I don't think you can go wrong with whatever you choose. The Sony's seem to have a nice picture as well. I also have a Panasonic rear projection for the big screen. They are spendy, but WOW.

i purchased a panasonic viera 50" plasma. you need to decide if you want an lcd or plasma first. you can't go wrong either way, both look awesome when viewed in HD! if you are going to have the tv in a room that gets alot of sun, an lcd deals with the "glare" problem better. plasma tv's generally process data faster to deal with "pixilation".
i hope this helps.

I've got a Panasonic 52" LCD and a Sony 42" LCD. Great picture in both. I am always a huge Sony fan, but got a good deal on the Panasonic.

I just purchased a 61in Samsung LED Projection. If you go projection you can get more tv for you money. If you do go projection look into the Samsung with a LED Bulb instead of a regular bulb. Samsung claims the LED bulb will last for the life of the tv unlike the standard bulb which has a short life (5 yrs or less).

I bought the 61" Samsung projection dlp HDTV with the LED light engine as deescribed earlier and couldn't be happier. You can find it for quite cheap online. ALL the TV anyone could want or need. Plenty of hookup options. 3HDMI and more

ALso have a haer(SP?) 32" hdtv The first one shot craps within 2 months. THey replaced it under warranty and the second one is going strong

We have a Panasonic Viera TH-50PZ800U. It is a plasma and the reason I bought this one is that I like watching sports and I did not want to put up with the blur. The set you are looking at is one of the 120hz models and that is suppose to help with the blur of high speed motion. I went to CNET to see if they had a review on this set and they did not as of today. I bought mine online and was able to save close to $800 and the shipping was free. If you decide to buy online make sure to go to resellerratings and read the comments about the seller.Even if there rating are OK you might find that they provide lousy customer support. I like that fact that I called to ask some ? and I got a person who spoke perfect english and was able to answer all my ? so I knew they had a clue about the product they where selling. With some of the money I saved I was able to get a 3 year extended warranty that start at the end of my 1 year that came with set. I also saved close to $150 in tax by buying online. I bought mine from Buydig.

We have a 52" Samsung LNA650 120hz LCD and also a 40" LNA550 LCD. Our roomate also has a 42" Panasonic Viera Plasma. All three look a bit different but are still good quality. We have owned several Samsungs invarious sizes but found the mid to high level ones excel. Also don't rule out a Sharp Aquos, very nice sets.

Bought a 46" Samsung LN46A630, 120 Hz LCD - went with 630 because room has a lot of windows - its a semi matte screen -
AWESOME- go to amazon and check out the customer reviews on all the different sets, they also have customer discussions which address specific issues, its a wealth of info and then you will know what questions to ask at the B&M store. Bought ours online saved money+sales tax+free shipping-only took 5 days and they unboxed it

I own a old RCA that is a non-digital relic that is as heavy as a crew cab truck.....and think I might be due to upgrade...soon.

I was thinking on a HD LCD 30" something inch tv that can also do Computer...PC capable. I have moved into a more compact Norwegian bachelor style pad and the combo appeals to me.

OK...does anyone have a suggestion or recommendation, brand....+/- 32"...ect.

Thanks,

Ed

I have 3 Vizio's 46, 37 and a 32 all hooked up to Sat. HD service and all look good and have had no issues in the last year and a half. Good TV for a less expensive price. I just picked up the 32" last week from Sears for $529 when it was listed on the Vizio web site for 699. Just look for the deals and you will find a bargain for any model.
