Got out to the river early started slow but had a little action nothing decent, went to another spot nothing but short bites no fish, third area just talked with a tourney guy from Texas, fourth area fish marked nice ones worked them nice 18" caught by client fish on 23" caught by client, fifth area 15 1/2 client, finally, yes I was fishing got a 16", caught only nine eyes this trip but four decent ones, finished the day putting slabs in the box

GLAD I TOOK THIS ONE ON THE RULER CAUSE THE PHOTO OF HIM HOLDING IT DIDN'T TURN OUT

A GREAT WAY TO END THE TRIP!!

I had slow action as well. My partner scored two early smallies and I picked up a nice crappie and then things slowed. I was marking what I was assuming to be more crappies but they were tight lipped. Some short hits and clean misses by me for the next couple of hours.

I probably should've pushed on to different spots but I stayed. Picked up another crappie a bit later and a nice rock bass (just a big bluegill if you ask me, I kept it.) I was marking nice hooks in 25-30 feet of water as well, but no takers. Tried 3-ways, bouncers, lindys, and long lining cranks. Even threw a swimbait for awhile.

Fish are there but lip locked. Had various PWT dudes roll up and fish for a bit and then bolt. None of them boated anything. Everyone was spread out so it appear no consistent pattern is established yet. I would think by Thurs. or Fri. things should stabilize after this front rolls through and the action will hopefully pick up. I'm telling myself that so I can hopefully put my dad on some fish this coming Sat. and Sun. See you on the water.

Man it was another grulling day. Couldn't find any red tails for bait so settled for some big shiners. Pulled up to River Dan and he gave us a dozen or so Reds. Thank goodness for that. I pulled a short eye out early on and thought it was going to be a good day for us but we couldn't find the fish that would commit. Lots of fish marked, lots of bites, not many hook sets. Got some rock bass, sheepies and crappie. All came on redtails. Once those ran out, the bite went waaaaaay down. You would think shiners would work as well, but they are picky.

Great job getting your client on fish Dan.

It was grueling today, the one fish I was absolutely sure was an eye, got away. Jig jig, no weight, set the hook no weight...reel in some line, weight, head throw, gone. >_<
Next week sandman! next week:D

Where were you guys fishing? I didnt see you until we were heading back to the launch at like 1015. (had to call it a day early because my fishing buddy couldnt stay awake and im starting to come down with something) We jigged and rigged anywhere from 5 FOW to 45 FOW, a couple of decent hits but nothing to show for it.

Caught two decent saugers and one walleye and a nice small mouth that got away from the last spot. I needed a net boy. I thought i was going to get skunk for the day, but caught all my fishes the last half hour. All caught on lindy rigs on 25 FOW. Tried jigging for the first 3 hours, but jigging is not for me, i had to revert back lindy rigging. I like to feel the tap, tap of the fish on a lindy. see u guys this week end, same river, same time...LOL

I dont Think the storm last night did us any favors. The sturgeon were even biting slow. Though I did run out of bait just as it got dark, when the buggers started bitting better.
