Does anyone do any field hunting in these areas or somewhere close by...say Cottage Grove? I'm curious if it's worth banging on doors to get permission or if anyone has an inclining to hunt with a 25 yr old guy with his own layout, some goose decoys and is a pretty good caller. Also have a mojo for when the mallards start coming. Home base is the eastside of WI, but going to Chiropractor school in Bloomington and can't afford to go back home every weekend.

lots of leased fields down that way, as I have heard. may be tough, run after the people who lease it and see if you can go out with them one or a couple times.

Yeah, I guess next weekend I'll spend most of Saturday driving around and hoping to find a spot to hunt on Sunday.
