I run into them frequently on one lake in particular.....the others that I fish often don't seem to produce at night. But on this lake, as soon as the sun hits the horizon it's hammer time! I also recommend throwing floating plastics of lighter color at night, i've had great success this way. Good luck out there.

Depends on the water clarity but yes night time can be excellent. In the summer at my buddies cabin we'd fish off the dock with lighted bobbers and take the spot light and shine down and see a lot of bass, sunnies, bullheads and even a walleye. 2 feet of water, sand with sparse weeds.

If you can catch some frogs try them shallow all night next to a bonfire,the walleye dig em also.
