It's a warbler, all right, but the confusing non-breeding plumages of fall warblers were never my strong point.
The combination of strong but interrupted white eye ring and wing bars goes a long way in helping with an ID, because few warbler species have both, and more than some plumage colors, those are key (primary) field marks. I'm going to say it's probably a female yellow-rumped.
Its plumage is a bit more pale than I'd like for that ID, but plumage can vary quite a bit, and every time I thought I had something closer, I kept coming back to the eye ring and wing bars, and that would shoot down the ID, so yellow-rumped is what I got.
