I ended up goin down to the river, my girlfriend got a 19 inch walleye, and we had a mess of bites, but the eyes are pulling the minnows right off the jigs, missed too many fish to feel ok about. I'll have to keep an eye out for ya when I'm out Northlander, sounds like an easy to recognize boat.

Steve, it was good to get out with you again. I'll be heading out again at the end of the week. If the fall bite kicks in I'll post it.

I went out to island lake today, lots of bites, but no fish. Wasn't exactly worth sitting through the ridiculous winds. Guess I'll have to go back to the river.

that lake is really weird, it is pretty much unpredictable things change every day. earlier in the season i was getting them in 35 to 40 fow and it seems now they have moved shallower since that water has cooled off quite a bit. Just about any shoreline next to deep water will have fish on it. some shorelines are alot better than others but the fish arent conjugated on one shoreline thats forsure. i tend to stay away from midlake reefs this time of year.

yeah, I tried quite a few spots and presentaitions, the wind really limited where I could fish too tho. I used to do ok up there, I'll just have to stick to the river.

Played Hooky today and went fishing on Fish Lake with some relatives. WINDY...finesse fishing was out of the question where we wanted to fish. We did get a couple 17+ inch Walleyes 6 nice Crappies for our efforts, but it was pretty tough out there.
