If you don't have a problem with the cost I would say one of the Marcum color cameras.

Color is a great option unless you are in stained waters such as Red or LOW. Then you may actaully get EVEN BETTER picture/contrast with the black and white model. I use the VS820 on Upper Red and I love it!

I have had the chance to try an MarCum 820 and its quite nice, I will be saving up some moolah to buy one soon.
I have always had a Aqua Vu Scout XL and have been very pleased with it, while in a fish house its great. IF using it outside, it can be tough if its bright out. I think this is where the 820 may have a bit of a nod. Both units are very good!

I had a scout for a while, absolutely loved it! In the sun it's a little hard to see, but for $150 compared to over $500 for other cameras, I think they're the best on the market

Marcum does make a nice camera. Cableas has a 5" model for 120 thats made by marcum. They also sell the 7" for 180. All marcum stuff, just without the marcum name.

K-dawg-- The cabelas camera is NOT made by marcum. It was thought for a while that they were, but that is not the case. The Cabelas camera is made by cabelas.

I agree with D.D. I also have a an Aqua Vu XL, that I actually obtained from Matt Johnson. I have yet to have a complaint. Has worked great for me, inside and outside the shack, sturgeon scouting, running and gunning. Yeah, the outside viewing was difficult at times, but there are ways around it. Good Luck
