Despite what McCain and Co. keep spouting, the reality is that under an Obama administration income taxes would be decreased for over 90% of the population. The hard working, middle class people that need them the most, like me.
Under the various Obama/McCain tax calculators out there (the simplist @ obamataxcut.com), my family will save anywhere from $1500 - $2100 dollars a year.
Say what you will about policy positions, but this is money in my pocket. Which will really help my family out.
Another reason I am supporting Barack Obama, because it makes cents. Ha, I crack myself up.

And we have these numbers from where.........obamataxcut.com I have not seen a detailed tax breakdown in which Obamma (or McCain for that matter), have given any more then fragmented information on their tax numbers. And with either, we really don't know since I have a hard time believing campaign promises will become anything other then smoke you know where. I also know that any tax break for someone equates to either a funding defecit, or a tax increase for someone else, maybe me, maybe not, but that money comes from somewhere. Last point, the complaints about the Bush Tax rebate made me pucker up faster then a homophobe at a gay bar, so you may want to get some thick skin, the hammer is coming Ohh I almost forgot....The reality.....Where is the emoticon laughing so hard he pees himself.

Saw the headline and got a good laugh. That was good chode.... One thing though.......... That's income tax. There's a thousand other "taxes" out there. That's not say you wouldn't save more money under him...... But, if you save 1500 a year in income tax, but the rest of it accumulates and costs you an additional 2751.87, wheres the benefit? Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that's what would happen, but everyone is so focused on "income tax".......what about the rest of it?

Good points, I am mainly trying to point out that the blanket statement by the republicans that Obama would raise taxes is likely a lie for 90% of Americans, as the exact opposite would be true.
I think its a scare tactic, and dishonest. I am primarily trying to shed light on that.
Obama's website has much more details, and there are more detailed tax plan calculators out there.

Sure they use scare tactics. They have both(Dems and Repubs) become very adept at using them. As well as blanket statements, half truths(I'm not sure any of them are bold enough to outright lie), and sling [PoorWordUsage] because each one thinks theirs is the only way. Not to mention, they want their own piece of history.

Obama has clearly stated that he will raise taxes on anyone who pay's wages . That means every single small buiseness owner will see a tax increase weather they like it or not. When you consider how many people work for "small buisness" this could be a major problem for a lot of people who have a hard enough time staying in buisness.
So I guess if you got fired by the small buisness you work for because of thier tax increase.... you saved NOTHING!!!

Neighbor guy, that's not fair, those small business owners are all the evil "rich" that we have to have class warfare over. It will be their greedy fault if they have to lay off employees, not the great savior Obama...

We could be in Germany...anything over a set dollar amount is taxed at 100%...ie if that number is $300,000 and you make $400,000, then you pay 100% taxes on the extra $100,000 and your usual taxes on the $300,000. There would really be a lot of whining going on then.
