I fished the Minnesota tonight and almost did not get my boat out of the landing.

The last 3 feet of the landing has a drop in the cement slabs. Between the slabs there are openings about 4 inches wide. I loaded my boat and started to pull out when the middle of the trailer frame caught in the open slot as the landing drops off so bad.

I had to back down a foot or so, let the boat back on the trailer so the majority of the weight was on the rear of the trailer and then that raised the front and middle of the trailer. Now, I found two big tree branches and filled the open slot on the ramp and pulled out.

I will not be going back to this landing as one could do some serious damage to their trailer frame. be very carefull if you have a heavier boat.

Now the good news, the water temops have dropped to 66 and should continue to drop with the forecast. Won't be long now and the eye fishing should pick up.

yeah, Tom a lot of landings are like that right now. Jordan is the same way.
I don't think these ramps weren't designed for this low water.

Doesn't Jordan have asphalt all the way to the water??

The landing is LeSeuer is the worst landing I have ever seen at this time. They could just as well dig it up as the last 8 feet is a disaster.

No, Jordan is concrete at the bottom and it falls off fast. You really need to ease it in.

The problem at leSeuer is not that it falls off fast but that the cement slabs are too far away from each other and there is a large space inbetween the slabs which can catch the trailer as there is also a drop off on the slabs that are still above the water line.

I have never used a landing that is this poor.

Tom the Landing in Lesueur is one of the worst, but they are suppose to redo it soon. How did the fishing go? I was out last night as well, no cats, but a few toothy critters.

A few sheepies but nothing else. There were three other boats at the spot and no one had an eye.

Thats funny I was trying to fish cats, and those darn things kept hitting my line. Cut creek chub was the ticket last night, nothing after 7.
