Remember Sturgeon fishing has started so JonnyP is probably up at the River, and Bear hunting has started so alot of local guys are out chasing furry creatures through the woods.

Bear hunters and rice harvest are taking 110% of me and Jon's time.

By sunset today rice harvest should be all done and we only have 2 hunters left who have not dropped their bears smile so we'll soon be back to being social butterflys. grin

To be completely honest most fishing reports are missing since nobody is fishing. Very few boats on the lake since the wind decided it was going to kick our butts this late summer /early fall. Plus the local guides are busy with bear season so we are not on the water figuring out the tough mud churned bite.

I'm glad the bear hunting has been good for us us the fishing has been tough.

Hey Jonny, I was just curious as to where some of the humps and rock areas were at on Red. We have fished there several times but havent ventured to far from the public dock and looked for any other structure. Any general directions would be appreciated thanks.

Best is to pick up the Lakemaster map and study it. Lots of little humps, hooks and turns to explore. Even many waypoints on the map that used to be family secrets. shocked They did a good job on the map.

tink you should be able to find one of those maps at most of the bait shops up in the Red Lake area, otherwise some of the bigger sporting goods stores in the cities will have them.
