I saw the news item on Freddie May/ Fannie Mac, or whatever, it is said that some numbers were misstated. I wonder if anyone will go to prison? I also wonder if the CEO's have had their salaries cut yet? I normally don't care what people make. But if you want to grub around in the taxpayers pocket, I care.

The last I checked it was bin laden who claimed resposibility for the attacks on our country, not sadam

Exactly, it was bin laden and a few caves full of losers. A tragic and simple plan that took the lives of many. Yet it was the bush team's asinine response that allowed this sick plan to so greatly succeed beyond that day.

Excellent point. Highly unlikely they will ever face any real charges, or even change their lifestyle.

"The last I checked it was bin laden who claimed resposibility for the attacks on our country, not sadam" was meant to be quoted to westb in my last post

It's kinda funny reading these posts. People were saying the same things about Reagan so long ago. Nixon was hated. Clinton is still irritating. People have this concept that the president is supposed to be a perfect person. This is politics, your favorite party or politician is going to do things you do not like. That is how the game is played.

An outsider's opinion (if you care to read what a Canadian has to say)! There has not been a "Great" national leader for the U.S. or Canada or any other Democratic country for a few generations now. I'd hazard to say since WW II.

DubYa came into power at a time of absolutely, unimaginable national crisis. However, like Steve stated, pretty much a trained monkey knew that whomever was responsible for 9/11 was going to be the focal point of the administration of the day. Seven years later, the U.S. Canada, Britain and several other countries are still chasing Bin Laden under the belief that he is still out there to be found. That's what we're all told anyway.

DubYa's legacy, again from an outsider's view is that he apparently went after the right person (Bin Laden) but like Daddy did with the Gulf War, he left Afghanistan before he finished the job. How in the world did he and his advisors make a left turn from pursuing the alleged proponent of such a horrible incident on U.S. soil to chasing down some all but forgotten character who was no longer a threat to anyone?

I don't have to spell out the IMMENSE losses that your families have suffered because of DubYa's decisions to secure Iraqi oil, I mean remove the Butcher of Baghdad. Well he got Hussein and a pat on the back from Daddy but he lost his country and apparently, we still don't know where Bin Laden is.

I could go on about my own "Axis of Evil conspiracy theories" but that's for another day.

I consider myself a realist therefore I'm a believer in world peace through greater firepower. Until 7 billion people buy into the flower in hair, hand joining, Kumbaya thing, it's U.S. military strength and the will to use it that keeps us safe. However, one does not need to be a Rhodes scholar to know that it also needs to be utilized appropriately and not to serve a Commander in Chief's and/or his close circle's personal agendas.

Junior and his crew figured that bringing war to a place that wasn't causing us any grief, would make him a "Great" leader. He and his boys were wrong and they are all paying the price for it now.

Junior was dealt a lousy hand but man, IMHO he blew his chances of being recognized as anything other than another bumbling, babbling politician.

Talk about starting a controversy I think the people that voted for him TWICE should not even be able to cast another vote again!

I believe that the only reason he got in his second term was Kerry was so much worse it made him look good.

I think the only reason he got a second term is the people that voted for him the first time didn't think any one else should have to clean us the mess he made and they didn't want to think that they voted for a schmuck, (how could it get any worse) well he proved them wrong!
