Went out with toomuchfun and loos15 today. Started out pretty early with a 20" eye to toomuchfun. He had a couple of nice smallies before that. Then it shut down a little. Changed spots, got some sheepies, bass, crappie and another small eye. The eye bite was still slow, I was was showing about 71 degrees for water temp. I'm thinking another week or so and the feedbag should be strapped on by the fishes. Even without a huge quantity of fish, still had a great time out there fishing with these two jokers.

awesome wallie lol, good job
i caught 1 today :p

Btw, I want to take this opportunity to thank Sandman. He does a great service to stranded shore fishermen like me. I've learned so much this year on fishing and having the opportunity to get out on a boat raises my experience to a whole new level.
Again Thank You Sandman!

Hey Rui, not a problem. I prefer fishing with guys than just fishing alone and to get guys out that don't have a boat is just a nice bonus. Glad you got a river eye yesterday. We'll get you some more this year.

Dan, nice pics. And here I thought you were too upedy to keep slabs!! laugh Nice to hear you got on some nice fish though.

Sounds like fun! My river time will be cut drastically due to bow opener next weekend, but I'm sure I'll sneak a few mid-week trips out there. Hard to miss when the eye's start snappin at jigs. See you out there

well set aside a day today for soley the slabs and it payed off. we started off the morning around 830 and pulled up to the first spot at 845. by probaly 10 we caught 20 slabs with none under 10 and the biggest 13. slip bobbers with fatheads in the deep wood around andersons. so we moved up towards the bridge and pulled up to another tree that was a lil bit deeper and caught around 10 or 15 slabs and a ton of rock bass. we then moved to the bridge and jigged for eyes with no sucess after 10 or 15 mins so we moved back to the first spot again and caught around 10 more and some 15 inch smallies. i also had a bite off at that spot that was pulling drag and had my ultralight doubled over. my dad said it was a sheepie but ive never seen a sheep shraed up 8 lb test. it was completely frayed. i think it was a northern. was a good day to be on the water even with the rain.
