the last two weeks fishcast and I have had some crazy personal bests on the fly!

43" I caught in the BWCA

and here is what I caught it on a fly tied by fishcast now called the limedogger

here is my first catfish on the fly which was the first of 4 that night, caught on a size 14 caddis casting to surface gulping cats


here is fishcast biggest pike on the fly a 31incher


here are my two biggest carp on the fly didn't get to measure the first but the second is 33"



and here is fishcast's first carp on the fly (and biggest carp ever) which he was extremely excited to catch! 31.5"

sweet catches guys. What kind of tactics were you using for the carp?

Nice fish! Fish of a lifetime on that 43" pike. Wowzers.

I was using a 7 weight with a size 10 caddis in olive. The carp were feeding in light current on the surface. the tactic was to lay the fly just past the fish then twich it lightly past it, they simply turn and suck it in. What a fight.
