To argue politics is futile. Politics and religion are two subjects that very few will change their minds on...it is futile....

Well said DeeDee. I like her from what I have seen so far. As far as experience and age, how much does BHO have? Not as much as her and how old is BHO? Isn't he around the same age?

Sorry people, but this sounds like the outdoors political forum, not the informational, chiding Women's forum that we are used to...
On a side note, all the ladies that will talk to me at work, are not in favor of Sarah.

I knew it was over there, but this is and the photography forums are really the only ones I know how to get to and I was wondering what opinion the ladies here had about Palin.

I don't go into to Outdoor Discussion's board either DeeDee. I'm not very well versed in the art of Political Bantering and Discussion. People get very defensive. Sometimes I don't blame them!! It's hard to discuss such touchy subjects when you can't be face to face with the person and see reactions, facial expressions and their passion for what they believe. It's easy to bash someone knowing you'll never have to face them in the real world too.

It'll be interesting to see how Caribou Barbie handles some interviews and one on one debates. Interesting indeed.

Something that has taken precedence for me is Palin’s religious beliefs!

Is it Gods will/plan that we are in Iraq? Should we pray for a $30,000,000,000.00 gas line to be built while in church? Should I believe in someone who speaks in tongue during church services? Pentecostal beliefs and since being VP, them being played down?

Sarah Palin believes all of the above.

I am for religion being part of a politicians life, but should it be dictating their decisions while in the White House? Pres or VP?

I respect all religious beliefs, but on the same hand I respect in a small way (on a constitutional level) the beliefs of the Black Panthers, KKK and other extreme groups, but do I want their extreme beliefs being in the White House, NO!

If we took the beliefs of every individual and made it our sole priority to adhere to there every belief, why would we vote for anyone? J. Edgar Hoover liked to wear womens clothes but he still did a great job as head of the FBI.

I was going to state a slight rebuttal on religion and politics. I know Obama had the Reverend Jeremiah Wright thing, but I never did see any footage of Obama getting up to the podium in church speaking the same things. Sarah Palin did, even though they both Obama and Palin did down play their religious beliefs when things came "down" to it.

I think he did a horrible job of running the FBI. How many poor, true Americans did he run up the flag pole as communists? I would have hated living my life during that guys time in power. J Edgar Hoover was a learning point for the great country we live in today and I hope never happens again.

Backshash one thing to always keep in mind is we are talking VP here not pres. Off the point slightly but all we hear are comparisions between Sen Obama and Gov. Palin. If I were a dem I don't thing I would constantly be comparing the possible VP against the possible Pres. Is that not like cheaping up your pres. pick? I think this will backfire and IMO already has.

As for what you consider extreme religions beliefs I personally do not know of any born again christians that have committed crimes. Also, can you tell me were these beliefs have ever effected your life in a negative way.

Fish,

This is a thread about Gov. Sara Palin, not about Obama or McCain. I only called out the Reverend Jeremiah Wright thing, because I knew it would be called out by someone else.

Funny how many become born again christians behind bars?

Religion is a great thing, but does religion and politics mix well? That is what I am trying to figure out.

Yes allot of convicts convert when behind bars but my point was how many were converts before they were behind bars? Maybe they needed to convert before they started committing crimes. As a note I am not a BAC. but just have never seem the logic in being afraid of people who have strong bible based religious views. Again has your life ever been negatively effected by someone with strong christian beliefs? When in resent history as a group have people with strong christian beliefs done any harm to others? I just do not get this unfounded fear some people have of people with a strong christian faith.
