lucky, just bought a place on the chain and the last 2 years fished in your neck of the woods(green and nest) for sunfish. will be out the next week trying to find them, and will keep you posted. although you might want to rethink, went out last night off my dock and made 3 casts and caught 3 kitties in 1/2 hour. a 3,5,9 pounder, what a blast on light gear!

lucky, went out yesterday for some panfish and had some luck on deeper weedlines on bolfing and schnieder. not used to "river" fishing so stuck with more lake environments. nice thing was that at least was able to fish this weekend, would have been blown off of green. no, have never gone spearing, not to sound like a wussie, but that usually means there is ice on the lake, which means it is really cold which means i am cold.

does anyone have any thoughts on what size hooks to use for cats in the 5 to 10 lb range, i guess that goes for bait as well. have been using #4 and a larger 3/0 with a 9 inch or so dead sucker. had a problem hook setting last night ended up with a lot of heads of the minnows.
