Lets see your harvest for the 08 season. Please try to clean up the pictures of blood, keep the tongue in the mouth and don't show the gutted side of the animal. No beer or cig included in the photo's please. If one side of the animal is ripped up or has a gaping hole, try to use the other side for a nicer quality photo.

Pic's will come as soon as the seasons open. I don't believe that any state has an open season yet. This Friday I know that North Dakota will open and if its not too hot, I'll get one posted. I hate hunting in the 90 degree weather as for the skinning and gutting it is still to warm out.

I know what you mean Harvey about it being to warm. Besides packing with ice, or being lucky enough to have a walk in freezer, what other steps to you guys take in keeping your deer/game cool in the warmer weather? Or do you just wait till it is cooler out to start hunting?

Or do you just wait till it is cooler out to start hunting? At our hunting camp, and in my garage we have extra refrigerators, just quarter the deer and cool the meat in them before butchering. When out of state, we bring large coolers filled with frozen milk jugs. Again, quarter the deer and pack in between the ice to cool.

 - hes got a total of 16 points one inch or longer - 8 inches around at the bases - 23 inch inside spread - 7:45 saturday night - 2-blade rage at 32 yards - he was standing looking right at me, point of impact was the neck and went down through the vitals - 3 1/2 year old dear, 180 lbs. - any ideas on what he'll score - would ya call him typical or non-typical, as there is a little drop tine and four other kickers - went 80-100 yards and expired. massive blood trail

That's an awesome deer, Good job on the head on shot! I would gues around 150, but I could be way off. Not sure about the typical? non typical part, tough call.

He will gross well over 150, and that is all that matters, don't even listen to the deduction part of it. Most people understand the gross score more than the final anyway. He is a nice buck whatever the score. He's wider and more massive than the one I shot last year (Grossed 163 officially) but he doesn't have the tine length, but the extra points and mass will more than make up for it. I'm going to say that he is going to get into the 160's gross. Let us know when he gets scored.
