I haven't been out there for awhile, but Lake Frances is usuallya good bet for all three of those species. Trolling cranks in 10-15' would be a good bet for northerns, target the remaining weeds and the grassy islands for bass, also look to the point on the west end of the lake. I haven't fished for panfish out there in the summer, but the east bay has been good in the winter time.

JD If you have a salmo hornet 4f gold/metalic orange try trolling it at 2.3 mph in 8-13 fow.If your fishing shallower put on a salmo shallow bullhead. In the last week these 2 lures have produced crappies like crazy. Northerns 9lb,6lb 3@4lbs and 3 eyes 16-19 inches. Also catfish galore with 2 of them being around 9lbs. 2.3 mph is the key to the bite.Good luck...hope this helps you catch a few.

Don't feel bad JD, I was on Tetonka today for a couple hours & didn't really even see anything & caught the same. There were some crappies & sunnies to be had by those looking for them, but not my target for the day. Those are some messy weeds/slime to deal with. mad Went over to Francis & marked fish all over in the weeds, but were all sunfish from what I found. I did manage one bass & a fish that got off from an area I saw minnows skittering around on the surface. Thought it was big but it was 1 1/2 lbs. & alot of weeds with it. Tried many areas & many techniques, but to no avail. MUCH better water conditions though. Water temps were 70-71

Trolled cranks on German for a few hours this morning. Had a nice one on but got off. Real quiet otherwise. 67 deg water.

Caught a ton of sunnies and crappies saturday night from shore in Fairmont. They were tasty for lunch today.
