hey JDrummer, I would like to go out fishing with you, i live right in brainerd and am going to school here at CLC, and I know the lakes somewhat ok, for sure can get you on some fish, If I had a boat I would take you myself, but hey, broke college kids, what can you do? At least i can help with gas or bait or what ever, so I will try to find a good walleye bite when u get around up here. I know the eyes have been going good on the whitefish chain lately, and some huge smallies on the river, let me know where you are staying and a tentative schedule.

idk if it would be of any help then but i just got back on monday from fishing gull. we started out fishing homans point or whatever its called. we got 1 short eye there and probally 20 bass and tons of bull gills. we got the eyes and bass on redtails and the sunnies on crawlers. lindy riggin with a 6 ft snell 1/2 oz weight in 22 to 30 fow. we then moved to the rock bar and fished there and picked up 1 legal and 1 short and monster gills and some of the biggest rock bass ive ever seen. we then moved to the hat around 2 and thats where we caught most of our fish. we got 7 legals and 4 shorts there all on redtails and 1 on a crawler. then put the boat on the lift for the night and fished from shore. about 2 mins after i set my bobber with a redtail it went down and i pulled up a 19 inch eye off the dock. so i kept fishing hoping to catch some more then all of a sudden mine and my dads bobbers wennt down. we were expecting them to be eyes but when we got them in they were yellow bullheads there must of been a huge school of them down there because they would hit every cast for 2 hours. then i went out monday morning and went open water trolling for the first time. was staying on the 40 to 50 foot contour lines. ran a snap weight 50 feet up from my lure and 50 from snap to board and picked up 2 eyes a 19 and a 15. also got 1 northern around 30 inches casting a redfin
