t sounds to me like they could be going to St.clould then Stillwater. One of the has already had run ins with the law. If its stillwater the might have a warm welcomeing there. who knows. I guess the feds and canada could still step in.

I figured Moose Lake, they have the boot camp program. If the Fed. charges stick, they could spend time in Sherburne Co. at the end if time served does not count against the Federal charges.

Is Still Water Fedral, I think it is. Oak Park heights might be the county or state?

I thought stillwater was state. But maybe not. i hope some one else steps in for the other possible charges. If not at least one is getting off easy.

I also thought Still Water was State, but do to the hype on TV thought it was a Federal thing.

I know Sherburne Co. Correctional Facility is one of the only Federal/holding prisons in the state, I think short of a Mpls. We held that Misowie guy for a long time in our local prison and that is what it is a prison, not a county jail.

Oak Park Heights is a supermax so I doubt they'll be going there.

Stillwater is a state prison. Have toured it twice as my wife's son is a corrections officer there. Not a very nice place to call home for the next three years if thats where they end up. St Cloud, Rush City, Lino Lakes, Faribault & Moose Lake are all also state prisons.

I would guess they'll do their time somewhere up north, like a workhouse or something similar.

I would however like to see them march that Lakner through Stillwater wearing his knit cap with fake dreadlocks.

A quick follow up on this - Barney is serving his time in St. Cloud, where 50% of his 1,000 cellmates have been convicted of murder, sexual assult, kidnapping, & assult. It's a level 4 closed custody facility built in the 1800's.

Not a very nice place to spend the next 2-3 years. If anyone remembers the Holappa muder in Gilbert 4 years ago, 2 of the 3 convicted are also at St. Cloud.

Wow, not that he doesn't deserve it but I didn't figure he'd go to a facility like St. Cloud.

Sorry about that. I'm not really sure what part of my post was different from the entire thread other than ending speculation about what happened with some facts.

Kidd - I was very surprised as well. I figured worse case scenerio would be minimum securtiy at Lino Lakes.

I do believe that St. Cloud is a transitional facility where all convicted felons start. They are reviewed and transfered within six months. It could have changed, but I used to work in Saint Cloud and thats what I was told.

Every one of these fools got off very very easy in my eyes. I would have l;iked to at least have seen a lifetime ban from the BWCA and no guns for any of them ever. That wont happen.
I dont think boot camp is a option because of the use of guns and violent nature. Most if not all boot camps around here are for non violent offenders.
I only hope Canada steps in and shows more back bone than our US courts did.

a friend. he got a felony when he was 18 and can never carry
a gun or own a gun. so he can never hunt again. he got charged with grand theft.
