Hilarious!

It's funny how some people feel a true sense of enjoyment and ethics on the water, and others don't care for the future at all. I'm just recently coming to the realization that what happened 5 years ago might be the most important factor to the big fish I hope to catch today. Still, there's no need to assume that everyone who isn't doing it right is bad. Many of those folks only fish a few times a year, and don't really read the 60 page book for that if they're not keeping fish...

hunting or fishing in a new state without checking regs is careless. To assume the regulations are the same is silly. when I got back in to fishing after a 15 year Hiatus the first thing I did after I bought my licsense was sit down and read the book cover to cover.

I agree. As a sportsman it's your responsibility to make sure what you are doing is respectful and lawful to the environment and others around you. I still think people should be required to take a class on boating safety anytime they are new to the water....and current boat owners and operators should take a test every 3-5 years to "renew" there privileges on the water. I've seen more white knuckle behavior this year than ever before and with so many more boats on the water, I'm surprised more accidents don't happen.

And Ill agree right back. I remember sitting through Gun saftey training as a young grasshopper when I wanted to hunt and sitting through Drivers Ed when I wanted to drive. Yet when I bought my boat this summer all I had to do was fuel it up and hop in.....

I sure am glad it only has a 6 horse......

Actually you can fish with three lines on inland waters in Wisconsin.

The rule book shown on the WI website states - It is illegal "to fish with MORE than three hooks, baits, or lures." This is a statewide regulation and for both winter and summer. I regularly fish with three tip-ups in the winter.

The link is here if you want to check it out.

When I fish Wisconsin, I just use one line out. Mabye its because I'm a lifelong MN guy, but also, its kind of difficult and more of a pain (IMO) to worry about two lines. I fish to enjoy it and relax, fishing more than one line ups my odds of landing more fish, but with that comes more stress in having to manage them both. Kinda defeats my intention of relaxing and enjoying myself. To each his own I guess.

It depends on the situation - If you are trolling for walleyes in open water where the fish are spread out, it is really fun and much more productive to run more lines & use planer boards.

Even bobber fishing if the fish are a little slow or you want to try minnows & leaches or crawlers.

I say again because nobody responded to my first message....Are we going to be able to buy a 2-line stamp in MN next spring?
