Tami - I think that ice fishing is too far off!!!!

Fall fishing is so fun!! I really need to get out there, but my son is in Marching Band with a competition every Saturday. We were in Rosemount a few days ago, and this coming Saturday will be in Apple Valley at Eastview. Quite the drive!!

How about a metro lake and campground. I've heard Bald Eagle has Muskies!!

Hi Everyone!!! I've been working alot and of course going to school! I actually have this morning off but.....I have to work this afternoon. frown The nursing home is quite a place you guys. I like helping the residents but I'm still pretty slow so therefore, I'm still running around every shift like a crazy lady just to get everything done. I do miss my daycare kids but thankfully have been able to visit with some of them since daycare ended a couple weeks ago. Has anyone been fishing? FishingOpti (Heidi), did you make it out with any women on the big lake then? Any stories ladies? I'm trying to finagle a weekend off here in October so I can jump in the boat at the cabin for some fall fishing. Cross your fingers gals! I really need some time on water and a weekend at the cabin! grin

Actualy did pretty good. Fished Stoney Pt on Saturday from 10:30 to 4:00PM. There was 25 boats over there scattered about. We stayed on the edges of the boats, as I don't like playing Bumper Boat fishing. Most people fishing with Jig and Minnow. We fished with crawlers and was advised by a few people that we were doing better than most. Actualy had 2 boats come up and ask what are you using. Oh yea no wind to speak of.
Kept 5 eyes and a few jumbo perch for the day. Did catch a 25" eye, but with the rain coming down a picture was not considered.
It started raining steady around 1:00 PM and it really didn't quit. It was stii raining and it got windy on Sunday. I saw 1 boat venture out from Highbanks Sunday AM.It did not look pleasant out there.

That's an awesome report gary! Did you happen to see what the water temp was? Man, it was 36 degrees this morning up here and I just just checked-it was the same in Deer River. Our deck was icy!

We usually hit Cutfoot when October rolls around. I just hope I start getting some regular weekends (well, at least 1 a month! eek) come ice fishing time.

I was thinking of cutfoot, but the bite was consistant enough, and you know the old saying. 'NEVER LEAVE FISH TO FIND FISH"

I can't wait for October either. If I had my choice, I would spend the month of October up there. I hope you can get out to.

Water temps were around 60 I believe. I only checked it once.
