Has anyone out there tried casting the beach area in the eve for Eyes on Owasso with waders on in the Fall???

we did pretty well out there right after opener, but dont expect muxh for size, most of those fish are gonna be around 10-12"

I've tried off the beach in the spring but not the fall & caught perch, crappie, & sunnies, but never an 'eye. Might be worth a try once the water temps drop a bit, especially after dark.

I know back 10-15 years ago in the Fall you would alsways see a few people doing this. They would get out there anb hour before dark and start.

I never did have a chance to try this, but may this Fall. I'm only 10 minutes away.

It has been a couple of years, but I have done it. No luck, but then again I am not the best person at catching fish. At least the boaters will be gone.

we generally do best on the eyes between 10pm and 2 am out there. We got most of our fish on small long cast rapalas or the smallest x-raps with a glow sticker down the side. got some fish on minnows too but not as many on cranks. This was in the spring though, havent tried out there for the fall bite.

Have always done well there in late Sept into Oct with lighted bobbers and suckers. ole

How deep are you when you are casting from shore. I'll get in touch in the next couple of weeks and see we can "hook up" and give it a shot during the week.

I won't be trying until mid Oct. Usually around the full moon
I fish in about 5-6' of water.
