I am going to be fishing out of Sportsman's Lodge on Monday and Tuesday of next week with a group but I have to travel up on Sunday. I have to drive 500 miles up there and will leave Sunday morning and fish in the area in the afternoon if possible. I am not bringing a boat and was wondering if there are any places to shore fish in the area? Any tips would be appreciated.

Kevin

I know right when you coming in to Baudette you cross over one of the rivers there and there is a fishing dock you can see right from the road, most be able to catch somthing there.

Head east and fish the river, hit one of the access's and have at 'er man. I have never had any luck at that place in Baudette but if you go out of town and fish the river you'll have some luck hopefully.

Go north of Baudette on 172 and stop by Rainy River Marina at Lake of the Woods campground they have a ton of docks there that stretch out into fairly deep water on the river and there's lot's of nice fish being caught there in the evenings! Talk to Eric or Jim and they'll give ya the 411!!! There's a beer fridge down at the dock too if your looking for a refreshment after the long drive! wink
