I saw lots of grouse in this area 2 years ago but last year was a little sparse. Hopefully this year will be better.

It should be great. That area has always produced for our group, even during the slow years. Leave FRED alone though.

I have been spending lots of time in Itasca county woods this summer and i have been seeing a lot of grouse. I think it could be a a decent year.

We have a place up in outing south of remer off highway 48. Not SEEN any yet this year but my grandparents live up there and he saw a mother with 4 little ones behind her on his dirt road a month or two ago and I did here some drumming few months back. Like bassman said put a few miles on or hit some of the wheeler trails between outing and remer I've picked up a few almost running them dumb birds over on these trails.
