The smaller 1-3 lbs fish seemto be shallow but the big 5 pounders seems to be out in the 10-15 foot depth range

Try tube jigs or garlic/salt infused Chompers, pitch and bounce them.

So apparently tube jigs are the undisputed king for smallies on mille lacs? Does anyone use power grubs or saber tails (crayfish imitation)? Which colors (tubes included) seem to work best?

I love to swim Gulp 4" minnow grubs and a 1/8oz mushroom jig over the tops of flats and off the edges. They cover a ton of water and the fish crush them. I use white, chart, and green pumpkin...
