Hi all. Getting dragged up to Grand Marais this weekend with the woman. Does anyone fish devil track lake? If so, what species are there? What time is best and what have people been successful with? Not going to haul the boat up that far from the cities, just going to rent a kayak while she shops:) Any help would be greatly appretiated. Chad

Lot's of smallmouths! Some good sized ones too. The best spots are around the islands on the southshore...which would be quite a paddle in a kayak. There are some good pike numbers and lot's of small walleyes as well. Perch colored cranks and white powergrubs are the way to go. A far as bait, leeches are king in these waters. I've caught many more walleyes under a bobber as opposed to jigging.
