tacklejunkie, with all due respect: You can't discount Bush's record for this upcoming election because one of the candidates agreed with his decisions 95 out of 100 times. That's the biggest reason I'm voting to remove the republicans because you will have a mirror image of the current administration if we elect McCain.
At least he showed up to agree or disagree. How many times did Obama not show up to vote?

How many times did Obama not show up to vote? Barack Obama missed 290 votes, (45.5%), of the votes in the current Congress. Looks like he would be absent from the White House as much as the current occupant. He also voted with the Democratic majority 96% of the time. I don't think his slam against McCain for voting party lines means $hit. They both did it.

By the way, the numbers came from the Washington Post's Voting Record site in case you're not as lazy as Shane. How was I lazy Tom? By your last post I was right. Just ribbin' Shane cuz you suggested a point that I knew was correct but didn't provide back-up. No shortage of that around here. It took me a few minutes to find. I was curious. Nice site if someone wants to come to their own conclusions instead of getting it from campaign ads or ultra wing blogs. Just the voting records - none of the spin.

Sorry fellas.
From the Washington Post: Ben Pershing May 23, 2008
Through last week, McCain had missed a nice, round 60.0 percent of Senate votes so far in the 110th Congress. After Sen. Tim Johnson (D-S.D.), who was absent for several months following a brain hemorrhage, comes Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.), who lay well behind McCain with 41.8 percent of votes missed.

Even the messiah himself would only go 90%. He did mention it several times in his speech. Feel free to add the extra 5%, sounds better. Provided you disagree with 100% of the presidents votes. Any one that would do that would indicate to me that they are a non rational fringe Bush hater. Good luck. Extremists do cause problems for rational people because of their devotion to their obsession. Fortuneatly this country tries to appease everybody so irrational extremists opinions are heard. This election will be historical no matter what. We will have a African American predident or a female vice president. (Provided Global warming doesn't shut us down first). My biggest fear is Congress. Barrac even sheepishly mentioned some of the programs that are not working may have to be cut. I was impressed by that. Hard to bring that sort of thing up in that crowd but he did.

Tommy, there are a lot more taxes paid in a given year than income tax and most of them are pay without regard to ability to pay.

Even the messiah himself would only go 90%. He did mention it several times in his speech. Feel free to add the extra 5%, sounds better. Nice try. From Factcheck Org Q: Is it true John McCain voted with George Bush 95 percent of the time? The Obama campaign keeps claiming McCain has voted with President Bush 95 percent of the time. Is this true? A: Yes, it's true, according to Congressional Quarterly's assessment of McCain's voting record. Sen. Barack Obama has attempted to use the Arizona senator's voting record against him in statements like this: Barack Obama (June 3): It's not change when John McCain decided to stand with George Bush 95 percent of the time, as he did in the Senate last year. The claim is true. According to Congressional Quarterly's Voting Studies, in 2007 McCain voted in line with the president's position 95 percent of the time – the highest percentage rate for McCain since Bush took office – Edit: Any one that would do that would indicate to me that they are a non rational fringe Bush hater. See Wades post below. My biggest fear is Congress. I'm with you there. I'm hoping Obama can bring some sanity to Congress if/when elected. We'll see. Well behind at 41.8%? That's still almost half and nothing to be proud of! True, but the point, as you well know, is people bashing Obama for missing votes when McSame has missed more.

But the record's clear: John McCain has voted with George Bush 90 percent of the time. Sen. McCain likes to talk about judgment, but really, what does it say about your judgment when you think George Bush has been right more than 90 percent of the time? I don't know about you, but I'm not ready to take a 10 percent chance on change.
The messiah himself. Just google obama's acceptance speech transcript. Go ahead and throw the extra 5% in there like I said. Sounds better. Nice try. He did infact state more than 90%. I suppose you should just round that up to 95%. I love when the highway patrol just round up.
