I was thinking of Dec 12-14.
What does everyone else think? I'm in. Try to set it up at a place that rents spearhouses too. They should know more about where the good spearing spots are.

I'm in and BNS we could check dennys resort they have a motel thats not that bad .

I am available the weekend of the 12th of December for Winnibigosh. I will likely be bringing our two boys as well. Let us know what you find out BnS.
If people end up scattered at different resorts we could have a central meeting place in the morning and then again in the afternoon on Saturday.

I will try to get a hold of Pat at dennys resort in bena for place to stay and let you know. I may also bring two spear shacks if someone is in need of one to use.

I have a few e-mails in to some places around there.
We will see what they come up with.
I will post the info here as it comes in.
This sounds like a blast.
I am sure either BNS or Elwood can make this happen!!!
I may have some spearer’s coming from the International Falls/Baudette area too.

I sent an emai; to Pat at Dennys resort so I hope to here from him soon . I know that he has a motell and cabins but I'm not sure if his cabins are open in the winter and I have stayed at the motel while ice fishing up there. I dont think Dennys has spear houses for rent but I'LL be the first to admit that I have been wrong before

I dont think Dennys has spear houses for rent but I'LL be the first to admit that I have been wrong before That would be OK too since there are other places around there that do rent spear houses.

Thanks for checking with us. We run our dark houses out on Lake Winnies Third river Flowage. We normally have first Ice and the northerns that head up the flowage are big. We have cabin opennings at the the time your are looking for and dark houses as well.
Cabin 1 would fit your 5 to 7 very nicely and runs 240 a nite for up to 6 and 25 a nite for the 7th guy. We also have some manufactured homes that run a little cheaper but are only set up for 4 people so would be extra charges for the 5 th 6th and 7th.
The dark houses run 40 a day for a single and 80 a day for a double.
