I think he was an ironworker, about as blue collar as you can get. My dad was an ironworker. Also, isn't everyone in Alaska pretty much an outdoorsman or outdoorswoman? Duh, it's the only thing to do. On the bad side, she is a religious zealot as pointed out, much like my beloved rep Michele Bachmann. Hopefully Palin isn't as looney as Bachmann for her sake.
