Last night my BIL and I got most of my boat trailer fixed/repaired. Got a few things left to do, but my hopes are to get out sometime this weekend. If anything, just to give the trailer a first-run test.

Anyway, I was wondering if there's anything happening on Belle or Stella? Any recent reports?

How is the public launch on Belle? Real shallow right now?

Any info would be appreciated.

It's shallow but do-able if you back down far enough. About the same as last year. By the time the boat is floating the bow is past the end of the dock, so it's a pain to climb in and out.

I don't suppose it matters between roller trailer or bunk trailer either?

That' doesn't sound fun if I gotta back in that far. But, the real question is.....is the fishing worth it??? wink grin

You'll probably be able to get away without backing in as far with the rollers by powering off. It's not bad if you have two people with one in the boat. By yourself it get's tough unless you want to get a little wet.

Couldn't tell you much on the fishing. Haven't been out. Figure I'd be better off saving the gas and time!

Yeah, I saw this afternoon that the forecasted temps are suppose to be around 90 this whole weekend. Not good being I was going to take the wife and kids out. I don't care to fish in that type of heat either.

Bummer as I was really looking forward to testing out that trailer this weekend. Cooler days are ahead though.

Wind is going to blow Sunday and Monday too. If it were about 40 degrees cooler I'd think it was a textbook Labor Day weekend!
