The river's in great shape right now. The kitties have been and will continue to be cooperative for the next few weeks or until the end of September. Frog's & goldeye have been producing well and tullibee will be coming into to play anytime now.
The conditons are looking very good as far as the fall "greenback" run is concerned. Sauger have been running (on schdule) for a few weeks and there's been a few 'eyes showing up as well. The south basin (shorelines) of Lake Winnipeg has been very productive for 'eyes through much of the summer. Those who have been willing to take advantage of this opportunity have not been disappointed. When fishing the lake in search of 'eyes, simply focus your efforts along the shorelines in depths of 3 - 5 feet. Trolling a wide variety of lure presentations is by far the most productive method for locating 'eyes. Trolling boards are also a good bet although they aren't totally necessary to enjoy success. I'm planning a walleye trip our on the lake very soon. If I have decent success I will be glad to post a report......

Here is Chicago Nick with a one of his many ><,sUMo,> kittys from last week. Here is another from Mike F Nicks partner in sumo cat hunting, what a brute Eh. And the born again hard, Leslie..AKA..Da "Catwoman", with one of here many kitty's she took to task on the trip. That's just 3 from some 200 plus chubby kittys put in the net last week. That's a heap of fun...Eh!! OK, I just can't resist sneaking just one in of me too. A purdy Cokn'n Kitty.

Here are a few more shots to enjoy. It is truly a world class channel catfish fishery, which everyone with a passion for fishing should try at least once.
