I'd have to vote for German , German is great for recreation (tubing) based off the overall size of the lake and the layout, lots of wide open areas. Have fun

Cedar lake in scott county is a good tubing lake. One of the closer ones for you too. If you end up in NP come get some boards for the tree house.

Ya I pushed that off, and kinda forgot about it, since I have the ice house in my driveway now. Is Cedar weedy as normal summers? The last time I was there the weeds just wrapped my prop up, I spent more time pulling the weeds off of my prop then I did fishing

I'll be on French and Kelly Dudley....tubing and making a mess. smirk
As a fisherman, I know to not even try until sundown or right at sun up to attempt to fish...Better fishing anyways at those hours smile

Sounds like a personal problem! I can only think of one thing YOU haven't tried.
As for what lake to have fun on, I don't think it really matters if Madison/Washington are busy or not. Big lakes can handle alot more PWC's due to the shear size of the lake. The fisherman can always find a bite on the smaller quite lakes, or find a place to duck into. The fish can take a break in the "Busy" parts of the lake.

Sometimes a good rip smells better than clear late in the summer
